Welcome
This site is to provide information concerning my interests which might be interesting for other too. |
Back in school, our physics teacher presented a stereoscope and some old stereo images.
Some years later stereoscopy came back to my mind and i saw that the computer can do a fine job on creating stereo anaglyph images.
JAC (Joergs Anaglyph Composer) was the first result of my experiments with anaglyph 3D glasses
I wrote a small command line program to convert two single view images into a 3D-anaglyph image.
Plascolin is the successor of JAC. I added a graphical user interface, a feature to adjust the stereo image and a full screen display to view the result.
There are some anaglyph stereo galleries:

I like to render landscape scenes with Povray and i'm often looking for the right place for the
camera, or want to to some modifications on the heightfields.
This program will help to do this. There are a lot of idears for features...

One of my older projects is The Genesis Toolkit
A set of tools to place POV-Ray objects onto a heightfield and to create matching color maps.
When i begun the work on the Genesis Toolkit there was no other tool for this job.
So every landscape picture rendered by Povray was whithout any vegetation, rocks or whatever makes a landscape interesting. Therefore i decided to make a tool for computing the height values for objects on heightfields.
Now it seems these tools are outdated. The new trace function of Povray is fantastic for object placement in landscapes. I think there's no need for the Genesis Toolkit any more because all calculations can be done in Povray.
